Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Is Almost Here — Here's What to Know
Pokémon TCG turns 30 this year, and the anniversary expansion arrives worldwide on September 16, 2026 — the first time in the game's history that a set launches simultaneously across every region. No more waiting months behind Japan. Everyone opens on the same day.
What makes this set different
Every single card in 30th Celebration is foil, including Basic Energy cards. The set introduces a brand-new rarity, Futuristic rare, debuting with Mewtwo ex and Mew ex illustrated by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. Alongside the new artwork, the set brings back classic cards from the game's history, including a reprint of the original Base Set Charizard.
A Pikachu in every pack
Each booster pack guarantees one of 30 unique holofoil Pikachu cards, each with its own illustration. Many cards across the set follow a day/night theme, giving collectors two versions of familiar Pokémon to chase.
Which product should you get?
- Elite Trainer Box — the fullest experience: 9 booster packs, a promo card, and playing accessories.
- Booster Bundle / Ex Box — a smaller stack of packs for a lighter opening session.
- Poster Collection / Tech Sticker Collection — lower pack count, built around a themed promo card for collectors.
Guaranteed allocations are limited on a set this hyped — reserving your product ahead of the release date is the simplest way to avoid paying scalper prices in September.
